Areal Flood Advisory
Statement as of 9:50 PM EDT on July 23, 2016

... The Flood Advisory for minor flooding in poor drainage areas
remains in effect until 1100 PM EDT for east central Miami-Dade
County...

At 947 PM EDT... Doppler radar indicated that the showers and
thunderstorms have ended over the advisory area. However, up to 3
inches of rainfall has occurred over the area during the last couple
of hours. This will cause some minor flooding on the secondary
roadways which will take some time to dissipate. Therefore, the
Flood Advisory will continue until 11 PM EDT this evening for east
central Miami-Dade County.

Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Coral Gables... South Miami... Kendall... the Redland and Pinecrest.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Turn around... don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.

Please report flooding to your local law enforcement agency when you
can do so safely.

A Flood Advisory means river or stream flows are elevated... or
ponding of water in urban or other areas is occurring or is imminent.
