* at 1249 PM EDT... National Weather Service meteorologists detected a
strong thunderstorm over intersection I-75 and Griffin Road... or
near Pembroke Pines... moving northeast at 35 mph.

* Frequent to excessive lightning... gusty winds from 45 to 55 mph...
up to nickel-sized hail... torrential downpours... or a combination
of these are possible. Lightning is the number one weather related
killer in Florida. Trees and open shelters offer no protection.
These winds can down small tree limbs and branches... and blow
around unsecured small objects. Seek shelter in a safe building
until the storm passes.

The National Weather Service in Miami has issued a Fire Weather
Watch... which is in effect from Friday morning through Saturday
evening.

* Affected area... fire weather zones 063... 066... 067... 068...
069... 070... 071... 072... 073... 074... 075... 168... 172... 173 and
174.

* Wind... wind across South Florida will range from 10 to 15 miles
per hour with gusts 15 to 20 miles per hour possible, with
Friday seeing the stronger wind and gustier conditions.

* Humidity... relative humidity will drop in the low to mid 30's on
Friday, and in the mid 20's to around 30 percent on Saturday.

* Energy release component (erc)... erc is not forecast for those
periods as of yet, however, Florida Forest service has reported
fuels will likely become volatile by Friday and Saturday.

* Impacts... any fires that develop will likely spread rapidly.
Outdoor burning is not recommended.
