The National Weather Service in Miami has issued a

* Flood Advisory for...
southeastern Broward County in southeastern Florida...

* until 400 PM EDT

* at 105 PM EDT... Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to training
thunderstorms. This will cause minor flooding in the advisory area.
Up to three inches of rain have already fallen with these
thunderstorms.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Fort Lauderdale... Pembroke Pines... Hollywood... Miramar and Davie.

Additional rainfall of 1 to 2 inches is expected over the area
during the next couple of hours. This additional rain will make
minor flooding.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Turn around... don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Please report flooding to your local law enforcement agency when you
can do so safely.

A Flood Advisory means river or stream flows are elevated... or
ponding of water in urban or other areas is occurring or is imminent.

130 PM EDT...

* at 1240 PM EDT... Doppler radar was tracking a line of strong
thunderstorms along a line extending from Hillsboro Beach to
Westview... and moving northeast at 10 mph.

* The primary impacts will be small hail and gusty winds of 45 to 55
mph. These winds can down small tree limbs and branches... and blow
around unsecured small objects. Seek shelter in a safe building
until the storm passes.

* Locations impacted include...
Hialeah... Fort Lauderdale... Pembroke Pines... Hollywood... Miramar...
Pompano Beach... Davie... Plantation... sunrise... Boca Raton...
