... Wind Advisory in effect from noon today to 7 PM EST this
evening...

The National Weather Service in Miami has issued a Wind Advisory,
which is in effect from noon today to 7 PM EST this evening.

* Timing... this afternoon through this evening.

* Winds... sustained south-southwest winds of 20 to 25 mph with
frequent gusts to around 35 mph.

* Impacts... strong and gusty winds can blow lightweight objects
around, make driving conditions difficult, and also make boating
conditions hazardous on the Intracoastal Waterway.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Wind Advisory means that winds of 35 mph are expected. Winds
this strong can make driving difficult... especially for high
profile vehicles. Use extra caution.

Small Craft Advisory, Gale Warning
Statement as of 3:40 am EST on January 22, 2017

... Small Craft Advisory remains in effect until 7 PM EST this
evening...
... Gale Warning in effect from 7 PM this evening to 11 PM EST
Monday...
... Small Craft Advisory now in effect from 11 PM Monday to 7 am
EST Tuesday...

The National Weather Service in Miami has issued a Gale Warning...
which is in effect from 7 PM this evening to 11 PM EST Monday.

* Winds and seas... south southwest winds 20 to 25 knots today,
becoming west southwest 25 to 35 kt with gusts up to 45 kt
tonight. Seas building to 10 to 12 feet in the offshore Atlantic
and 10 to 16 feet in the Gulf by Monday.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Gale Warning means winds of 34 to 47 knots are imminent or
occurring. Operating a vessel in gale conditions requires
experience and properly equipped vessels. It is highly
recommended that mariners without the proper experience seek safe
Harbor prior to the onset of gale conditions.

A Small Craft Advisory means that wind speeds of 20 to 33 knots
are expected to produce hazardous wave conditions to small craft.
Inexperienced mariners... especially those operating smaller
vessels should avoid navigating in these conditions.
