The National Weather Service in Miami has issued a

* Flood Advisory for...
southern Miami-Dade County in southeastern Florida...

* until 545 PM EDT

* at 338 PM EDT... Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms in the Homestead and Naranja areas. This will cause
flooding in the advisory area. Up to three inches of rain have
already fallen in parts of Homestead.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Homestead... Homestead Miami Speedway... the Redland... Florida City
and Naranja.

Additional rainfall of up to 2 inches is expected over the area.
This additional rain will continue to produce flooding.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Excessive runoff from heavy rainfall will cause street
flooding as well as other drainage areas and low lying spots.
