Winter Weather Advisory
Statement as of 2:43 PM MST on November 22, 2009

... Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect until 11 PM MST this
evening...

A Winter Weather Advisory for snow remains in effect until 11 PM
MST this evening.

A Pacific weather system will continue bring widespread snow and
snow showers showers to portions of southwest Montana through this
evening. Snow may be moderate to heavy at times for brief periods
early this evening. Total snow accumulations of 1 to 3 inches are
expected in the lower valleys... including the Bozeman and Ennis
areas with 3 to 5 inches in the higher valleys including the West
Yellowstone area. Highest amounts will occur above 7000 feet where
5 to 9 inches are expected. Snow will diminish by late this evening.

Southerly winds of 15 to 25 mph with occasional gusts to 35 mph
will also continue across higher elevations and through south to
north oriented valleys... reducing visibilities at times in blowing
and drifting snow. Winds will become more westerly during the
evening... which will enhance winds in west to east oriented
valleys.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Winter Weather Advisory for snow means that periods of snow
will cause primarily travel difficulties. Be prepared for snow
covered roads and limited visibilities... and use caution while
driving.
