Wave heights are significant wave heights which may be accompanied
by individual waves 1.5 to 2.0 times higher.
These estimates of winds and waves do not take into account the
enhancing effects of the Agulhas Current off the South African
East Coast.

2. Heavy swell with wave heights in excess of 4.0m are expected between
Lamberts Bay and port Alfred until Friday morning.

1. Very rough seas, with wave heights from 4.0 to 6.0m are expected
between Lamberts Bay and port Alfred from Friday afternoon until
Sunday morning reaching high seas between 6.0 to 7.5m between Cape
Point and Cape St Francis Friday overnight into Saturday.
Cunene River to Walvis Bay:
wind : S to se 10 to 20.
Vis : poor in fog patches.
Sea state: 2.0 to 3.0m, SW swell.
Walvis Bay to Orange River:
wind : S to se 10 to 20.
Vis : poor in fog patches at times.
Sea state: 2.0 to 3.0m reaching 4.0m in south, SW swell.
Orange River to cape agulhas:
wind : S to se 10 to 15 north of cape Columbine, otherwise W to NW 10
to 15 reaching 20 to 25 south of Cape Point.
Vis : poor in fog patches north of saldanha Bay in morning,
otherwise good.
Sea state: 3.5 to 4.5m reaching 5.0m south of Lamberts Bay in morning, SW
swell.
Cape Agulhas to east london:
wind : W to NW 10 to 20 but variable 5 to 10 east of Cape St Francis
spreading to west in afternoon.
Vis : good.
Sea state: 2.5 to 4.0m but 4.5 to 5.5m west of port Alfred, SW swell.
East London to Maputo:
wind : N to NE 10 to 20.
Vis : good.
Sea state: 2.5 to 3.5m in south, mainly SW swell.
Mozambique channel:
wind : S to se 5 to 15 reaching 20 in extreme northeast.
Vis : good.
Sea state: 2.5 to 3.5m except in southwest, mainly SW swell.
