* portions of north central Iowa and northwest Iowa... including the following areas... in north central Iowa... Humboldt and Kossuth. In northwest Iowa... Emmet... Palo Alto and Pocahontas.
* Until 7 am CDT Tuesday
* the Palo Alto County emergency manager reported that ice jams had formed in the Des Moines River near West Bend. Jams were near County Highway b63 and along 490th street.
* While no significant ice jam flooding was occurring at the moment... the Des Moines River and East Fork Des Moines River will continue to rise this week with the greatest ice jam flood potential from Humboldt and Dakota City upstream to the Minnesota border. Ice jam flash flooding may increase river levels several feet in only an hour or two... rising at a much faster rate than is presently occurring.
