southwestern Apache County in northeast Arizona...
extreme southeastern Navajo County in northeast Arizona...

* until 915 am MST

* at 844 am MST... National Weather Service Doppler radar indicated a
severe thunderstorm capable of producing nickel size hail... and
destructive winds in excess of 70 mph. This storm was located 19
miles southwest of Fort Apache... or 47 miles south of Show Low...
and moving northeast at 52 mph.

* The severe thunderstorm will be near...
Fort Apache by 905 am MST...
Whiteriver by 910 am MST...

... High Wind Warning remains in effect until 6 PM MST this
afternoon...

A High Wind Warning remains in effect until 6 PM MST this
afternoon.

A High Wind Warning remains in effect until 6 PM MST this afternoon.

For today... expect sustained winds of 30 to 40 mph with gusts
from 50 to 65 mph. Locally higher gusts are possible just east of
Flagstaff... from the San Francisco peaks to Doney Park.

Localized portions of the Little Colorado River valley... as well
as portions of I-40 from Two Guns to the New Mexico border...
could see even higher winds. Gusts as high as 75 mph will be
possible in this area today. These winds will cause areas of blowing
dust and sand... as well as the potential for some structural
damage.

A High Wind Warning means a hazardous high wind event is expected
or occurring. Sustained wind speeds of at least 40 mph... or gusts
of 58 mph or more... are expected and can lead to property damage.
