Synopsis For The Middle Texas Coastal Waters
A vigorous upper level disturbance will move across the region tonight and contribute to scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms. A surface low pressure system will move toward the northeast and enter the northwest Gulf of Mexico overnight. A strong offshore flow will develop in its wake tonight which will persist through Saturday morning. The offshore flow will decrease Saturday afternoon and become onshore Sunday. Onshore flow will gradually increase through Monday ahead of another cold front which will move through the coastal waters on Tuesday. Scattered showers and thunderstorms can be expected ahead of the front. A strong offshore flow will develop in the wake of this next front.

North wind 15 to 20 knots becoming northwest and decreasing to 10 to 15 knots after midnight. Bays choppy to occasionally rough. A chance of showers and isolated thunderstorms late in the evening...then a slight chance of showers after midnight.

Northwest wind 10 to 15 knots becoming northeast 5 to 10 knots in the afternoon. Bays slightly choppy to occasionally choppy.

Northeast wind 5 to 10 knots. Bays smooth to slightly choppy.
Sunday
Northeast wind 5 to 10 knots becoming east in the afternoon. Bays smooth.

Southeast wind 5 to 10 knots. Bays smooth.
Monday
Southeast wind 5 to 10 knots decreasing to up to 5 knots after midnight. Bays smooth. A chance of showers and thunderstorms.
Tuesday
Northeast wind 15 to 20 knots becoming north 20 to 25 knots in the afternoon and evening...then decreasing to 15 to 20 knots after midnight. Bays choppy to rough. A chance of showers and thunderstorms.
Wednesday
North wind 15 to 20 knots decreasing to 10 to 15 knots after midnight. Bays choppy to occasionally rough.
